Yamaha PSR 275

The best thing from this keyboard is that when you press it softly, you will heard soft sound like what piano produces. It is because Yamaha PSR 275 is featured with Yamaha Touch Response.

This keyboard is also featured with Portable Grand system which enable you to play as piano in full keyboard mode. By this feature, you don need to get back in a piano mode after using other keyboard voices and styles. Therefore, it will be easy for you to play music with this keyboard than other keyboards for beginners.

How to Play Keyboard Notes?

Playing keyboard is not difficult as what you think. Although there are so many people think that playing keyboard is like solving math in school, this is not true at all because you could learn it by yourself easily without being necessary to take any course. How does it work?
Piano Keyboard Keys

1. First, you could notice on keys pattern on the piano or keyboard

In this step, you could find the note "C" on your keyboard. The scale of the keys are C, D, E, F, G, A, B, and C again.

The three white keys enclosing two black keys while four white keys enclosing three black keys.

Just note that the black keys repeat a five key pattern of two black keys. They will be separated by one white key. There are two white keys after that. There are also three black keys which are separated by one white key then two white keys.

That pattern is the same from one keyboard to another. Each note in the keyboard is represented in 12 note octave according to the higher or lower pitch.

2. Second, you could identify the black keys

Piano Keyboard Keys Chart
The blck key has two possible names: sharp and flat. The name depends on the chord you are playing with. For example:
1st black key in the group is C♯ or D
2nd black key in the group is D♯ or E
3rd black key in the group is F♯ or G

To find the note of the black key, you could notice on the white key immediately and use the sharp sign.

3. Third, you could find the octave the note is in

Just finding the Middle C. After that you could go down or up to reach the octave that your key is in.

4. Fourth, you could learn what the notes look like

This is the final step for you to understand the piano or keyboard notes well. By using this way you could understand the relationship of the notes.

Roland Keyboard: RD-700 Review

Humbly I say that one of best keyboard manufacturers in the world is Roland. And I'm a biggest fan of Roland. Mine is Roland RD-700 which I bought three years ago. Today, this keyboard is still covered well since I rarely use it now. Business and laziness are combined well in my recent life :)

Why Roland?

If you ask me what brand of keyboard which can last for a long time with less risk to break, I suggest you to choose Roland. Well, generally I will not explain all Roland products in one post but here I will highlight mine, Roland-RD-700.

Roland RD-700

Roland RD-700

This keyboard is loaded with 64MB stereo sampled piano. Honestly to say, this keyboard is not for a beginner. Look at how the features put on RD-700. They had made me confused because as an amateur, the features are too high and unreachable if you only get some days to recognize all features of RD-700.

The difference of Roland RD-700 from previous series from Roland is on LCD, I think. The graphic is all new and making your eyes more comfortable.

The other significant features are 64 MB internal wave memory in which the stereo sample of pianos can be found here while the powerful apreggiator includes guitar streaming and other magical effects and sounds.

Overall, Roland RD-700 is perfect to use when you are a pro. The price for Roland RD-700 two years ago was $1,500 but I guess today you can get lower price since this is not a new series of Roland keyboard anymore :)
